Say What??

Apparently I have quite the fan base at Hubs' work so this one is for you guys.

Today I make gingerbread trains for preschool. Wrapped the presents for the preschoolers, and got things ready for tomorrow with my sister in law.
The kids all played together and had fun.
We had dinner at my brother's house.

Twilight Saga

Kenna is watching Eclipse with me. The funny thing is she knows the characters just about as well as I do. She loves Edward and Bella, and she loves loves the werewolves! Its so cute listening to her talk about them like real people.

Maybe soon I'll start reading her the books...

Smushed Thumbs

Today, I have hurt three out of the four "thumbs" on me. Yes one toe thumb, and both of my thumbs on my hands. One has a blister where I burned it with the hot glue gun. One I smashed in a drawer and my toe my poor toe I slammed into the stairs at my brother's house.

So thats my story for the day. On days like these I wonder why i got out of bed.

December

Today is December 1st that means Kevin and I have exactly 30 days to find a new place to live. EEKKK. Kevin thought our lease wasn't up until Feb, and the one time I wish I was wrong I was right. We aren't sure where we are going I just know it won't be near the same area where we live and that makes me soo sad. I have finally made good friends and I like our apartment, its taken me almost two years to make it look like a real home and now we are gonna have to pack up and move. :( I know as we pack up I will probably cry. After all it is our first home since we got married, Sadie has lived her practically her whole life. But I suppose it is time to move on. Our Family has rapidly outgrown our small apartment and hopefully we can find a nice house to rent.

On a happy side It is now December which mean Christmas is right around the corner!! So its time to break out the Christmas decorations and crank up the christmas music. Yay


And Also in case I forget Happy birthday tomorrow Christopher!!! Your a great big brother. Hope you have a good birthday!

Thanksgiving Thanks

Thanks first and foremost to my brother the chef who make the most yummylisious food. Thanks to His beautiful wife Kim for opening her doors to all our huge family. Thanks Little sister just for being here. Thanks Dad for watching the kids while the turkey was cooking. Thanks Mom for being Mom and helping Kim with clean up. Thanks Bobby for driving down and making MyKenna's eyes pop out of her head with joy when she saw you! Thanks Frank, Josh, Tracy, and Malachi for making the long 6 hour drive to join us for dinner and stories. Thanks Michelle and Tia Millie and Mily for coming and joining us for the fun. Thanks Daniel and Chris and Hubs for watching the babies so Kim and Iris and I could go out shopping at midnight! Thanks Everyone for making a wonderful holiday. I wish it could have lasted longer.

Most of all Thanks Kevin for being the love of my life and being so understanding and helpful. For always pulling me back when I'm about to go over the edge. Thank you for our beautiful daughter. But most of all honey thank you for being my husband. I love you more than any words could ever describe. Thank you for being my rock, my love, just mine.

Walking home six miles because your car ran out of gas and apologizing to your wife for getting home late.

This happened last night, its the little things like this that remind me why I am the luckest girl in the world.

Ssshhh do you hear that?

Yeah its silence! My girls are fast asleep and hubs is out fixing a water heater at my brother's house. I have forgotten what quiet feels like and I have been missing it for the past couple of days. Apparently Sadie is suffering from sleep deprivation??? That girl sleeps like 15 hours a day.. But what else could explain the non stop crying and tantrums? Anyway this is what her Dr. thinks it is and I am at a total loss to explain the crying so oh well we are gonna roll with it. Hopefully I can get her to sleep more.

Big Day for Miss S!

So today is the day. Miss S won't stop jumping out of her crib sooo, momma is making her crib into a toddler bed. Yikes!! My baby is getting so big. I'm half excited half petrified to do this. Will he stay in bed for naps or just play? Mornings will be nice because she can get out of bed herself without having to launch herself into the toy box then to the floor. Down side is her super cute crib is a pretty plain toddler bed :( oh well I better get to it nap time is just around the corner. If I can find some batteries for my camera I'll post some pictures up later.

Halloween!!

Halloween was and absolute blast this year. It started on Friday and ran until Sunday night. Friday we kicked off the weekend with Kenna's Halloween preschool party! Happy Hopper Preschool puts on quite the spread! Cupcakes that look like a centipede, a musical show that the kids put on (which was quite great considering i did the music). The kids favorite the witches brew and old Mr. Creeps. I love watching them stick their tiny little hands into a box of unknown grossness and their faces are priceless.

Anyway continuing right along after the preschool party we headed on over to our Ward's trunk or treat, we had some yummy hot dogs and chili, followed by trunk or treating, Sadie was the funniest thing ever. She didn't want the candy to be put in the bucket she wanted it in her had to inspect it first, then into the bucket it went if she didn't try to eat first. It was fun.

Saturday we headed over early to a vendor sale that Bashas' does monthly, Iris sold some and so did Kim, I went along for the ride mostly. After that we got ready and headed over to Kim and Chris' ward trunk of treat where we had more chili and hot dogs, and of course candy, which Sadie is a huge fan of. After that we headed on back to Kim & Chris' for pumpkin carving, a fire, and of course scary movies! It was fun but it was a nearly night for me since Hubs and Miss S were already home asleep.

Sunday fun day, So Kevin woke up with a horrible cold, drippy nose and a sore throat. :( so we stayed home from church so he could be properly cared for by yours truly. We waited for Miss M to get home from her Dad's house and when she finally did I took the girls out to play while Kev took a nap to power up for trick or treating! Finally for rolled around and I was time to get the little ones ready. This consisted of make up sparkles and costumes of course, with some last minute impov I made some antenna for the girls. My Mom and Dad showed up as I put the last minute touches on my sweets. We waited a few more minutes for Jace (Kenna's Dad) to show up and then we took off to the streets! We ran into my good friend Shaun and borrowed a stroller for Miss S and then we walked around for almost three hours! At one point Miss S was leaning forward in the stroller as we were going down a driveway and the poor girl ate pavement, she had some crazy road rash on her poor little face :( But to make up for it we filled up a bag plus the girls buckets with Candy! Finally we called it a night said our goodbyes, and gt ready for bed. So now Farewell October hello November!

October you are not my friend anymore!

I love October more than any other month! It starts to cool down, its right before all the hoilday madness, and of course Halloween! This year though October has brought the stomach flu, a seemingly endless stream of colds and now strep to my house. So booo to you October maybe next year we can be friends again.

Step this Step that

Step step step. I'm so sick of that word. Kenna and Cole are obsessed with this word. He's not my brother he is my step brother, he's not my real dad he is just my step dad! Your not my mom! Shes not my sister she's just my step sister. Uggh I can't stand it!

So as of today we are not to say that word any more. We are a family and that is it. Period no steps, no halves, no nothing. Just Dad, Mom, sisters and brother. We had a long conversation MyKenna and I. I explained this to here and I hope it sticks. I will be having the same conversation with Cole this weekend. Cross your fingers for me!

Chocolate ... Need I say more??

Today I set out to make Chocolate Lava Cakes. Kevin has quite the sweet tooth and has been itching for some chocolaty goodness. Finally I broke down hit the store and bought everything I would need. So the process is somewhat involved and takes about two hours. Oh well I'm all about makin my sweet man happy so I did it anyway. Here is a few pics of our delious desert.

Ingredients
Centers:
2 ounces Ghirardelli 60% Cacao Bittersweet Chocolate baking bar, broken or chopped into 1-inch pieces
1/4 cup heavy cream

Cakes:
4 ounces Ghirardelli 60% Cacao Bittersweet Chocolate baking bar, broken or chopped into 1-inch pieces
1/2 cup unsalted butter, cut into pieces
2 large whole eggs
2 large egg yolks
1/3 cup granulated white sugar
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/4 cup cake flour
Raspberries for garnish
Whipped cream for garnish
Directions
1.To make the centers, in the top of a double boiler or in a heatproof bowl over barely simmering water, melt the 2 ounces of chocolate with the cream. Whisk gently to blend.
2.Refrigerate for about 2 hours, or until firm. With your hands, form into six balls; refrigerate until needed.
3.Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Spray six 4-ounce ramekins or custard cups with cooking spray.
4.To make the cakes, in the top of a double boiler or in a heatproof bowl over barely simmering water, melt the 4 ounces of chocolate and the butter, stirring occasionally until smooth.
5.In a large bowl, with an electric mixer, whisk the whole eggs, egg yolks, sugar, and vanilla on high speed for about 5 minutes, or until thick and light. Fold the melted chocolate mixture and flour into the egg mixture just until combined. Spoon the cake batter into the ramekins. Place a chocolate ball in the middle of each ramekin.
6.Bake for about 15 minutes, or until the cake is firm to the touch. Remove from the oven and let sit for about 5 minutes. Run a small, sharp knife around the inside of each ramekin, place an upside-down plate on top, invert, and remove the ramekin. Garnish with raspberries and a dollop of whipped cream.

My poor girl is down with some bug. Little thing woke up with a horrible stomach ache and soon after she began vomiting.

Holloween Decorations!

So last night the girls were ready for bed about an hour early because we had dinner early. So we made decorations for our front window! We had fun and our window looks adorable!! Here are a few pics and I have pictures of my pretty fall flowers!! I love the way our apartment looks with these out front.

Miss S

Miss S finally finally is talking real words!! Plus she is also finally doing signs I have been trying to teach her! Today after breakfast she looked right at me and and said "Mommy all done" and while she did that she also did the sign for all done!! I'm so excited and later she told me she loved me... Sweet music to a Mommy's ears.

Family Night

So last night we had dinner over at Chris and Kim's house. My parents have my Aunt, Uncle and one of my cousins and her family staying with them his week. My Cousin Thania and her husband have five children and we all had so much fun hanging out. Kenna and Sadie loved getting to know their cousins. So anyway back to last night... Chris made a great meal, ribs, pulled pork sandwiches, chicken wings and various type of fantastic salads!! We all had fun, chatting and eating. Here are couple of pictures of last night. Thursday

Today I woke up around 9:25am, I waited about another hour for my girls to wake up! That's possibly the latest they have ever slept. So after we got up and got ready for the day we headed over to my parents to hang out with so family that is visiting from out of town. I haven't see my cousin Thania for about 9 years I think. It has been a long time, anyway we spent the better part of the day there. Kenna loves her "new cousins" as she calls them and Sadie had a blast playing with them too. We went swimming and just had a blast. Then we headed over to Miss Shaun's house to stay with the girl while she went out. MyKenna loves "Little Katie" as she calls her. The girls watch Aladdin till it was time to come home. I folded laundry for what seems like hours and now me a Hubs are relaxing watching youtube as we so often do. Have a good Friday everyone!

ZZZZZZZZZ

I want to go back to bed and be comfy in my blankets and on my pillow. I have squished to perfection, it is exactly how I want it to be. Do you have a perfect pillow? I am I the only one who even thinks about their pillow lol? Oh well Preschool he we come, and Mr. Goldfish (Kenna's Beta fish) is coming with us as show and tell... lets see how this goes!

Tuesday shmuuzday

Laundry stacked up in the basket, books all over the kids bedroom, and by the looks of it the floor needs a good scrubbing. Is there some housecleaning fairy that will come do it for me? I wish. Oh well I am enlisting the help of my little helpers. They are great, Miss M and Miss S love to help and love love to vaccum lol. Have a good Tuesday.

Busted!

So last night my crazy neighbor and I BBQ'ed and then we hung out pretty much the whole night. She is so funny and she had me cracking up the entire time with stories about pretty much anything and everything. Around 11 we decided that it would be a great idea to go to the pool. Well the pool closes 10 sharp haha we had no idea what time it was nor did we care, we were out to have fun. So we hopped in and about four minutes into our late night swim the apartments Security Guard rides up and orders us out of the pool, we tried to hide but were clearly unsuccessful. Still hiding and giggling like school girls we watch the guard come into the pool area with his flashlight and then hahaha he dropped it in the pool. He was so mad that we were laughing. It was priceless, in the mean time he is getting really mad cuz we are snickering away. Finally he says this "Tell you what, if you get my flashlight I won't call the police" haha of course I was more than happy to retrieve the flashlight. He was about to let us stay and swim longer since I was nice enough to find his light for him but Crazy Christina started getting crazy lol. We quickly left the pool and finished out our night sitting on lawn chairs and laughing about our swim.

Baby Hungry

Lately, I look around and all I see is pregnant woman and brand new babies!! I miss the feeling of something wonderful happening inside me. I miss the sleepless nights; I miss the yummy baby smell. I’m totally and completely baby hungry!! And it’s not the “I missed breakfast and lunch hungry” it’s the I haven’t eaten in a week starving. A few weeks ago I took a friend of mine to a Dr. appointment and she was getting an ultrasound done to find out the sex of the baby, and all I could think of was I’m sooo incredibly ridiculously jealous!!  Unfortunately Kevin and I have been trying a quite some time now, we have been wanting another one practically since Sadie was out of the womb, yet we have had no luck. I’m beginning to think something is wrong but I am terrified to go to the ob in case something really is wrong. My uterus is crying for a new baby and so am I. I watch my girls and think they need a brother that’s all I really want, a little boy of my own. My girls are amazing and I love them like crazy but I feel like our family is incomplete. I know I have to have at least one boy!! I feel it in my heart, so why aren’t I getting pregnant!!??

So for snack today we made smoothies with whatever was laying around. It was fun the girls had a blast picking what they wanted in them. (well MyKenna anyways) So we had appple, banana, strawberry, vanilla, smoothies. It was delish!! So armed with the QT cups I decided to wash and keep the girls watched Princess and the Frog and had their smoothies. I enjoyed mine from the kitchen while I mentally prepared to clean up the mess from lunch, and mayeb even put away the laundry. Here's hoping! I need a massive amount of caffene to get me going but i'm hoping yummy fruits with give me a boost instead! Tonight for dinner maybe I'm gonna have the girls cook. Kenna wants slime so maybe mashed potatoes with green gravy, or if i really want too I'll make zuppa toscana. Not exactly slime but I like it better :)

Sadie Baby

So I noticed I write a lot about MyKenna mostly because she has so much to say, so here is one about Miss Sadie.

She is my little cuddle bug. She loves to get up in the middle of the night and snuggle, she won't go back to sleep unless I let her lay with me for at least ten minutes. She doesn't cry or anything she just wants to snuggle. Its very sweet!
When she is thirsty she runs to the fridge and trys to open, my little girl is somewhat vertically challenged so she can't reach to open it but she waits by it till I get her a drink.
I adore how after I finish brushing MyKenna's hair Sadie runs over to have hers done too.
I love how dirty she gets, I never was a big fan of messes but she can make dirt look adorable.
I love her mischievousness!
I love love love how when I come home she yells "Mommy!!! Yayyyyyy!!!" and runs in for a hug it makes my whole day.

Nose Goes

So last night around ten Kenna said her she had to go potty, afterward she came out to the livingroom where I was chitchatting with Iris and she told me there was something up her nose.

Turns out she stuck a pearler bead up there

At a loss and unable to even see the bead I drove her to the hospital

They proptly grabbed one of these handy

masks and covered her mouth squeezed

the bag and the bead flew out of her nose! It was a fun night.

Grilled Cheese

Yum I had forgotten how fantastic grilled cheese and tomato soup was until this afternoon. The fridge was looking rather bare so I had to come up with something really quick since the kids were hollering for lunch! Kenna started in with the I hate tomatoes!! So I told her thats fine if you don't want to eat you can go take a nap, that silenced her. We sat down and had a great meal even Hubbs said it was yummy he usually doesn't say anything at all. I was happy and full! Now its time for naps, afterward I think we may hit up the splash pad. I'm trying to fill up the afternoon since Hubs works till 12 am! Yikes I'm not excited to spend the whole evening alone.
