Whats for dinner?

This ain’t your mama’s meatloaf

So today I was thinking of what to make for dinner and thinking about how little we eat vegetables, so I decided to incorporate them into the foods we love. Today was meatloaf yum! It’s a family favorite in our house. So I made the regular meatloaf

1 lbs ground beef

½ cup bread crumbs

1 cup milk

½ teaspoon onion powder

¼ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon pepper

½ cup barbeque sauce (goes on top of the meatloaf)

And then I chopped up broccoli, colliflower, and carrots, I chopped them pretty small (we have a very picky eater in our house and I mean Kevin lol) I just mixed them in and then baked it at 350 for an hour and yummy yummy served that up with sweet potato fries, and carrot sticks. Shhh don’t tell Kevin he has no idea he is eating veggies.

Hair bow madness

So recently I started making hair bows for my girls, and now I’m addicted!! My girls have more bows than hair! Bow that don’t even have a matching outfit but I just had to get because the ribbon was so cute! So many bows that I had to make a second hair bow holder! I love them, and girls (well Kenna anyway Sadie doesn’t get it yet) love them!

Purple softy clothes

Purple softy clothes day.

Today was a purple softy clothes day; my mother in law always gets these smoking deals on clothes like dresses for the girls for like a buck. Sometimes there is a reason the clothes is so cheap like the outfits that the girls are so excited about wearing today! Bonus they match lol.

MyKenna keeps “having a rash” (she just didn’t want a nap) so I lotion her up and she asked me for softy clothes that wouldn’t make her itchy. I asked her to go pick something out and this is what she came back with. Then she said “Mommy, Sadie has a matchy outfit!! Let’s put it on her so we can match!!” Oh fine, we aren’t going out so it’s ok.

Now I know the outfits aren’t that bad and I’m just silly but they just aren’t my style. I have several of these softy clothes outfits and I usually just let her wear them for jammies, I should probably just get over and let her pick out her own clothes but I just don’t know if I am brave enough to let her be a big kid yet!!

I love you and miss you. I’m sorry it has been so long since we last saw each other. I miss seeing your face and holding your hand. We had so much fun just hanging around gossiping with Tia Susie. I know that you are happy now. You are free from the bonds that held you in this mortal life. I know you are no longer held back but your frail body, and your illnesses and ailments. I imagine you flying free with a grand smile on your face enjoying every second of forever. I feel so special for I get to carry on your name I use it with pride and will tell my children all about you. One day we will meet again and it will be a wonderful day. Until that day I love you my sweet Abuelita.
