My Lovely In Laws

So this afternoon Kevin had to run by his Dad’s to pick up a couple of things and had called him to let him know he was heading down there. He never got ahold of his Dad and I guess he was trying to call Kevin back but was unable to get through, so he came down here. Kevin had left for work already so I le him in and talked to him. Apperently he(Kevin’s dad) was a little more than unhappy with me for not giving Sadie their last name. (When we had Sadie, Kevin and I weren’t married so I gave her my last name a tthe time.) We never got around to changing it so now that’s her name. Anyway I guess he only just found out and was droning on about it. In the mean time I was expecting my Mother in Law (they have been divorced for some time and I guess it wasn’t a “friendly” divorce, and by that I mean there maybe a a restrainng order or two in place) So any way I told my Father in Law this and the funniest thing happened. My 63 year old FiL spun and ran out the door. I guess he walked very quickly to his car and never turned around. Haha it was halarious!! So later when Vicki my MiL finally showed up she was in a hurry because she was going on a date with her boyfriend. I asked her if they were going out to dinner and her response was “Naaa we will probably just stay in and have sex, giggle giggle.” Of course at that very moment I was drinking water and choked. Oh these people make my life so fun!

Worst day ever! (not really)

So today I went in to the Drs for my constant heartburn, he is putting me on something to help because it may be acid reflux. So any he told me two things that devastated my day!! I have to cut out caffeine and spicy food! That is like my entire diet. Seriously I have a different hot sauce for every type of food. So of course I get home and slowly enjoy my last Dr. Pepper and throw a handful of water bottles in the fridge. Now I have to rethink dinner because we were going to have spicy tacos. Boo I guess I can make mild tacos and not smother them with hot sauce.

Oh silly Kenna

This morning at breakfast my ever curious MyKenna asked, “Mom what animal is made of sausage?” (What animal is sausage made from?) She was positive it was made from horses. Ha-ha I told her that there were different kinds of sausage but the one we were having with our cheesy eggs was from piggys, (by this point I had stopped eating because as much as I love meat if I think about it in animal form I can’t keep eating it) So her mouth drops open and she exclaims “Its made from whorehogs!!(worthogs) like from my Simba movie!” I love this kid she can crack me up a thousand times a day!
Also I am absolutely delighted that my Sadie baby is finally repeating words!! Last night she was talking about dinner and a bath! This morning I told Kenna it was time for breakfast and Sadie ran for the high chair and threw her arms up and yelled “Breakfast!” I’m so happy she is so cute with her little singsong voice its deliciousness for your ears!

July 19th

Oh for Pete’s sake wouldn’t you know it as soon as things start to get better the whole family starts to get sick fortunatly the girls have escaped with barley more than a mild sore throat and nothing more. Of course daddy dearest quite easily the biggest baby in the house finally caught it lol he is soo sick, he apparently didn’t even notice that we had been sick. Now whatever we had is gone and somehow I got some stomach thing going on now. Oh well.

So on a happy non whining note I just celebrated my 24th birthday! Yay. It was a fun day, we went to church, and afterward my parents stopped by for a while with Tia Susie, mom and dad bought me a new laptop a sweet Toshiba which I am extremely fond of!! I love it! And I have to admit Kevin had been trying to sneak it away from me with little success.

So now I sit here with my girlies, Kev is at work, having some tasty mac and cheese and cherries for dessert. Next we might just snuggle up and pretend its cold outside and watch Nemo. I love overcast days although here it’s just as hot as if the sun were up. Well I better get going Kenna needs a refill on her strawberry milk.

Worst Sleep Ever

So last night I came to visit my cousin Mily and I stayed the night because I will be hanging with her all morning. I brought the girls along because Kevin worked until ten pm, I attempted to put Sadie to bed around 8:30 thinking she would fall asleep soon like she does at home, no luck. I tried to put her to bed a few more times, even MyKenna had fallen asleep by this point. It was now 11:30 maybe 12 when I finally laid down with her in a twin bed that we ended up sharing. Oh it was awful haha she squirmed and kicked and pulled my hair and this room had the biggest window that let in light at like 4:45 it seems that the sun had risen and so had Sadie so she played and by played I mean she poked my eyes, stuck her finger in my ear, and pulled my hair trying to wake me up I suppose. So I learned my lesson Sadie will not sleep in a crib if we are away from home. And If I am lucky enough to get her to fall aleep I will not be able to sleep.

Booo Days

Some days I feel like doing nothing, I have had several of these days lately, I hardly even want to get out of bed, and when I finally do I just want to go lay down. I don’t know what the matter is?!! I am so frustrated with myself, my house is in constant chaos, it always always looks like a tornado hit my kitchen and the piles of laundry built up in my bedroom are as high as my bed(which is very very tall). I can’t seem to catch up with all the house work, and my poor children they are so sweet if it wasn’t for them I probably wouldn’t get out of bed.

Ranch!

Who knew that ranch dressing could get my slightly picky 18 month old to stop throwing her food on the ground in make her put it in her mouth? Not me, I finally decided to let Sadie have some since she always watches MyKenna drench her food in it. It worked!! Sweet success except now I’m afraid we will go through twice as much dressing twice as fast. Today Sadie ate three chicken nuggets, four carrot sticks, and two pieces of celery I’m pretty sure she went through 3 tablespoons of ranch but she ate all her food and that’s all I care about, for now anyway.
