Oh homework maybe one day I'll get to you

Yikes Really I wish I could get my work done but Hubs left for school and left me with all three kids haha so far I have been able to complete one assignment that I did the other day!!

Oh well its fun to watch and litsen to them play! Its so different to have two kids that I can actually understand when they talk. Sadie says a few things but mostly she just screams and laughs.

Rain!

Oh how I love the rain! Kenna was watching the storm out of the window she she finally screamed “Mom its raining!!” so I did what I always used to do, played in the rain. We started walking over to Shaun’s house in hope that she and her girls would be up for playing in the rain with us. Well about a third of the way there the down pour started! We got soaked just walking over there. Shaun’s girls were already in Jammies so we just hung out for a few minutes and let the rain die down a little bit before walking back home. It was just a light sprinkle by the time we left and the girls loved the ride in the stroller in the rain. Now the girls are in bed and I am waiting for Hubs to get home.

Book Review

Just recently I have discovered a new genre of books that I love! Its parnormal / fantasy fiction. This one author in particular is fantastic Laurell K Hamilton. So far I have read one of her books but fortunately it was a great one. Its called Strange Candy it is a collection of short stories that she has written. They are just little ideas that she had and never made into books. They are great and each one left me wishing there was more. I am so excited to read more of her books and more of this very entertaining genre of books. I also read Fish out of Water by MaryJanice Davidson who is also a great author, she writes funny, witty stories that I have fallen in love with two of her more know series are Undead and Uneasy (she has many of the Undead and … so I’ll leave it at that.) and the other one is Fishing without a Net, Fish out of Water these are the last two of the three novels also very cute and funny. You instantly love the characters and can relate to them.
On a funny note I also checked out a book called Fairyville by Emma Holly, it was right with the rest of them so I grabbed it not thinking much of it. So I got home and drove right in to the book and as I do to easily I started getting lost in the story. It wasn’t until a couple of chapters in that I noticed that this book was very ummm adult shall we say. It was a very explicit love scene I rushed through it skipping a page or two I went right along reading and there it was again another steamy love scene. I was on the phone with my sissy by this point in the evening after the kids were in bed. When I finally gave the book cover a second look and there it was all over the front and back Erotic Paranormal Romance ! Eeekkkk still it was a good story and I don’t think I missed much by quickly skimming through the Adult parts of this book. It was a fun change of pace but I think I’ll stick to regular romance rather than erotic romance.

Pickles

MyKenna was snacking on a little pickle, I put it on a fork because we are nearing the end of the pickle jar and I didn’t want to stick my whole hand in there. Anyway she was munching away and wasn’t paying much attention because the next thing I hear is “Mom Sadie stole my pickle!!” I guess Sadie baby was jealous of this pickle Kenna had and she waited until Kenna was distracted and she chomped off the last bites of Kenna’s pickle.

My Lovely In Laws

So this afternoon Kevin had to run by his Dad’s to pick up a couple of things and had called him to let him know he was heading down there. He never got ahold of his Dad and I guess he was trying to call Kevin back but was unable to get through, so he came down here. Kevin had left for work already so I le him in and talked to him. Apperently he(Kevin’s dad) was a little more than unhappy with me for not giving Sadie their last name. (When we had Sadie, Kevin and I weren’t married so I gave her my last name a tthe time.) We never got around to changing it so now that’s her name. Anyway I guess he only just found out and was droning on about it. In the mean time I was expecting my Mother in Law (they have been divorced for some time and I guess it wasn’t a “friendly” divorce, and by that I mean there maybe a a restrainng order or two in place) So any way I told my Father in Law this and the funniest thing happened. My 63 year old FiL spun and ran out the door. I guess he walked very quickly to his car and never turned around. Haha it was halarious!! So later when Vicki my MiL finally showed up she was in a hurry because she was going on a date with her boyfriend. I asked her if they were going out to dinner and her response was “Naaa we will probably just stay in and have sex, giggle giggle.” Of course at that very moment I was drinking water and choked. Oh these people make my life so fun!

Worst day ever! (not really)

So today I went in to the Drs for my constant heartburn, he is putting me on something to help because it may be acid reflux. So any he told me two things that devastated my day!! I have to cut out caffeine and spicy food! That is like my entire diet. Seriously I have a different hot sauce for every type of food. So of course I get home and slowly enjoy my last Dr. Pepper and throw a handful of water bottles in the fridge. Now I have to rethink dinner because we were going to have spicy tacos. Boo I guess I can make mild tacos and not smother them with hot sauce.

Oh silly Kenna

This morning at breakfast my ever curious MyKenna asked, “Mom what animal is made of sausage?” (What animal is sausage made from?) She was positive it was made from horses. Ha-ha I told her that there were different kinds of sausage but the one we were having with our cheesy eggs was from piggys, (by this point I had stopped eating because as much as I love meat if I think about it in animal form I can’t keep eating it) So her mouth drops open and she exclaims “Its made from whorehogs!!(worthogs) like from my Simba movie!” I love this kid she can crack me up a thousand times a day!
Also I am absolutely delighted that my Sadie baby is finally repeating words!! Last night she was talking about dinner and a bath! This morning I told Kenna it was time for breakfast and Sadie ran for the high chair and threw her arms up and yelled “Breakfast!” I’m so happy she is so cute with her little singsong voice its deliciousness for your ears!
