Kenna's Party

Birthday number 4 for my girl a success!! I usually get so stressed out for Birthday’s but this year was a breeze, I was cool calm and collected well almost, aside from the one trip home during the party everything went smooth. And by smooth I mean we got there late, almost didn’t have a grill, and the ramada we were going to be at was taken literally minutes before we go there. I mean really it was empty and by the time we parked and started walking someone else had taken it. Fortunately we were able to sneak into the pool area and have the party there. We all had a blast, ,y awesome cousin Danny cooked all the burgers and hot dogs because my dear hubby was MIA(he was at work, also very important) Unfortunately Kevin was unable to attend. We missed him there. So anyway Kenna had fun running though the splash pad, the kids had water gun which was hilarious because they were using the water from the cooler so it was freezing, but they didn’t care. Kenna made out like a bandit, I’m still trying to figure out where to put all this stuff! Now I’m trying to recover but its not really working, I’m so over tired that I am having a hard time trying to relax. My house is a disaster but its ok, tomorrow is a new day and I can try to be a better wife then J

We had fun afterward too, playing with dolls, trying out her new bored game(CandyLand) Katie hung out for a while it was nice I never get to see that girl!! I finally told her about my secret best friend affair I was having, lol she is still my bestie but its time I make some new ones(Shaun I’m talking about you Lady) out here where I live. Katie was great, MyKenna just adores her!

My mother in law who also was at the party was so cute, she always brings me a little something be it a bracelet, or picture frame or something silly, got me the funniest flipflop platter haha it is so funny. At some point in time I told her I liked flipflops and ever since then she thinks I’m like obsessed. So far I have flipflop notepads, flipflop frames, tons and tons of actual flipflops, and pretty much anyother little things with flipflops on them. I’ve decided that I should just start collecting them, much like Katie’s mom has elephant stuff all over the place I can be the flipflop girl lol. This time she also brought me a flipflop frame that she painted for me. She is so sweet that lady!

Speaking of moms reminds me of my mom! If it wasn’t for her Kenna’s party wouldn’t have been what it was. She came early helped me get stuff together and drove me around(Kev had the car) picking up the last minute stuff, and during the party she did her fair share of Sadie duty. All in all it was a great day except I forgot my stinking camera but Katie let me steal hers off her camera so here is a few snapshots of today I'll post them up soon!

April 23rd

So this week has been so fun. We are in full party preparation mode, Kenna is turning 4! Kevin is also turning 29(they share a birthday) So tomorrow will be lots of fun. *cross your fingers the weather is nice* It has been a nice cool week but for a water party we are hoping for warmer weather. Sadie will also be turning 16 months on Saturday so our house is exciting these days. Kenna’s sweet sassy attitude and Sadie’s already hit the terrible twos it seems! She rips up everything in sight, and pulls anything off shelves and tables! Her favorite is to scream at me when I tell her “no” she is a riot.

Kevin has returned to working and is working part time and going to school full time so our home seems so lonely during the days. To fix that I spend a lot of time with my friend Shaun, her hubby works and goes to school too so she is home a lot too. Her girls Kaiti and Abby are around the same age as my girls so it works perfect! Today we are going to make edible play dough for the girls.

So tonight I am making lots of cake and getting all the stuff ready for tomorrow! My mom is hopefully coming over early to help me get everything prepared for the party I can’t wait. Of all the people in the world my mom is one of my very favorite! Iris and I love to play dress up with her, she is so cute.

April 17th

So this week has been ok aside from the internet and phone being shut off! Uggg being poor sucks. At least Kevin has started working so we will be able to pay the bill soon enough. Yay!! But really today was good I cleaned the house while Sadie napped and Kevin was at work so it’s nice to finally have a clean house! (I even scrubbed the fridge!) MyKenna is with Jace and I can’t help feeling sad. These weekends seem to drag on forever, it’s like he is stealing a piece of my heart when he takes her. And I know I know he is her dad but it is just so hard to send my baby off for the weekend. It seems unnatural as a mother. And to top it off he takes her shopping, something I would love to do but can’t afford. I suppose it wouldn’t be as bad if he was paying child support, but the fact that he isn’t because he has no money (that’s what he says anyway, he does odd jobs and get paid under the table) makes me extra angry! That’s right angry, seeing red and making my blood boil angry! I just want to scream and yell at him but it wouldn't do any good so here I am pounding away at the keyboard hoping it will help me feel better to put it down in writing. Only it isn’t helping it just keeps reminding me of everything. Like the fact that MyKenna’s birthday is coming and I have about 5 dollars to get her a present, which I know will make her happy because she doesn’t care but it makes me sad, it makes me feel like a failure as a mother. I mean I should be able to provide for my children, you know maybe not get them lavish gifts and all that but I should be able to give her a present on her birthday. So anyway that’s my pity party thanks for joining me for it. I am still so mad and worst of all I was so mad I hauled off and yelled at Kevin, like it’s his fault Jace is financially irresponsible for his child. So I feel even worse about that, you know I keep thinking things will get better, and as soon as they do, something always happens to ruin it or at least put a damper on it.

On a happier note before all this mess, I got the extreme pleasure of hanging out with Kim and the Girls today, best part Amber had her senior prom today! It was so fun to watch her and her friend get ready, Kim did their hair and they were absolutely gorgeous with their dresses on and all done up!! I had a great time just enjoying the girls it reminded me of my senior prom. I had a blast with my friends. I hope Amber has as much fun as I did.

Pull my hair out kinda day

Oh dear where do I start? With the fact that I have been up for exactly a 1/2 hour and already my day is in the toilet? I slept right through my alarm, and missed my run this morning. Which in turn also means I woke up too late to make Kev breakfast before he left for work. As I was finally getting breakfast into the oven, i hear a tinkling noise. Thinking it is MyKenna playing with water I run to the bathroom, to find her covered in pee! I mop it up while she strips down in the tub, I spray her down and soap her up, I asked her to hold the shower head, and she sprayed my pants! Now I'm soaked and grouchy. I send her to her room to get dressed(all the while Sadie is screaming in the high chair) I run out to throw the clothes in the wash before they start to stink and go back to help Kenna get her undies, when I noticed she had knocked over her jewelry box, you know the one with all th beads from a broken necklace!! Sadie is still screaming this whole time!! At least the cinnamon rolls are done now!!

First day running

So this morning I finally stepped it up with lots of encouragement from my sweet friend Shaun. We went running, right I know I went running. I ran around the park for a whole lap without stopping! Thats huge for me, I've never ever been a good runner, I swam in high school, still hard but physically easier(for me anyway). I was really hurting after that lap but Shaun kept pushing "We will just walk this lap ok" ha I could barley breathe!! She is great just kept me going. We are going running again on Wednesday she says that we are going to try and add anther lap running! This time I went about a mile half running and the other half walking. I don't know if I can do it!! But Shaun seems pretty confident so I'm gonna lean on her enthusiasm! I'm so glad that she is slowing her running down for me I know I would be able to do it alone!! Thanks Shaun!!!

Too many Kids in my tiny house!

So I had a blast this past week Iris came to visit! She spent the entire week over here with the kids. It was insanity!! The little girls fought constantly(they took turns being the "alpha baby) One Day Sadie would start it and the next June would it was pretty funny and harmless most of the time. Bradley and MyKenna played hard and MyKenna went down every night more tired than the night before. During the week we went to the zoo with MyKenna's preschool class. It was really fun. We rode the train, saw lots and lots of animals, touched the sting rays, and had a picnic. Mostly we all hung out around the house but when we did brave it out with the kids it was always crazy.

While Iris was here we had a Mary Kay party with some of my girls, we had a great time, we got beautified and hung out, laughed and joked about everything pretty much. Kevin was a great sport about having the house overrun with children and a bunch of crazy women! All in all it was a fantastic week. I love Iris!! She is my best friend and I think if we didn't get along as well as we do we probably would have killed each other by the end of the week lol. She is great!

Plus we finally got the call we were waiting for!! Kevin is finally starting work on Wed!!! My poor honey has been out of work for about 14 months so this is huge! Thank you Walmart for having so many jobs that need to be filled. It truly was a great week.

Easter

Easter has come and gone. We had fun with the family, we enjoyed the children and Christopher's great food. We played and hung out. Sadie got her first hair cut! Its very cute.

MyKenna hunted for eggs with Adam, Braedan, Bradley, and Ryan, they had to fight with the goats and the chickens to keep the treats inside :) We ate outside the weather was fantastic. We all had so much fun! Now back to life, Kevin is writing a long paper so trying I'm trying to keep the kids out of his hair so he can, but as always its harder than it sounds.
